Allspice, Ground

The flavor of Allspice resembles a blend of Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Cloves, hence the name All-Spice. Allspice is used both whole and ground. It is always present in Mixed Pickling Spice; it is the favorite for seasoning pot roasts. It is indispensable in making mincemeat; is used ground in baking and gives a new zest to tomato sauce.
